How do I convert my existing content into ASF?
By the end of the fourth quarter of 1997, ASF will have been defined. It is anticipated that the ASF definition will be submitted to an appropriate standardization body in this time frame. You can review the current definition of ASF by going to the Specification page in this Web site. To track the standardization process, check out the Standardizing page.As the definition of ASF becomes firm, tools will be developed for converting into ASF files content which is stored in other formats, such as AVI. It is expected that these tools will begin to emerge in the fourth quarter of 1997 and the first quarter of 1998. As these tools are released, Microsoft plans to make them available for downloading from this Web site. Stay tuned.
