• demo'd waveshield project for IceLab

Alistair

• showed off nifty wire stipers. $25 at Jaycar
• talked about his carpc project (and briefly showed it off in the rain)
• talked about his EV push bike conversions

Angus

• showed his wireless home-brew heater controller
• showed his WIP water temperature controller (for a temp sensitive camera rig)

Geoff

• Talked about hifi the stereo project he and Dave are working on
• Showed the beginings of a project using an SMT Atmega128 for a fan speed controller for a mates HTPC rig
• Showed an analog accelereometer broken out deadbug style from QFN onto protoboard!

The Space

Locations

• no current members have a garage or shed available for semi permenent install
• Brenda has a two car garage that is available for short hackfests (hours, not days)
• Alistair reiterated his offer of converting his carport into a shed
• Geoff has a friend that may still have a commercial space which may have room
• discussed ex-gov leases and problems with those (all power equip must be tested and tagged)
• discussed artists studios. need a large body of work. could start small and produce individual artworks for up comming exhibitions to boost profile

Evangalism

• Adam to talk to artist contacts about possible works for upcomming exhibits.
• Mystery maker posted to Arduino forums and hackerspaces.org wiki - thanks mysterious maker!

Fund raising

• generally agreed that it was too early to be discussing membership fees and other budgeting issues
• it was suggested (can't remember by who) that selling projects (jewelery/art) at Gorman House (or other) markets could be used to generate funds.

General Business

Motivatiors

•  someone (sorry, can't remember who) suggested we organise a roadtrip to another hackerspace and do a show and tell
• makers are to provide weekly updates on their projects at tuesday night meetups

Next meeting

• meetings will be held weekly on Tuesday night. The Wig and Pen will be used for the next meeting unless something more shed like is organised
• everyone is to ask at least one person about available spaces.
• everyone is to bring a new project or provide an update on an existing project at the next meeting
