Hi All,

This weekend is going to be all about software for CanberraUAV!

Jack is still finalising the build of the beaver, and while we could fly
the Mugin, the most important things right now are all software related,
so we've decided to concentrate on getting the software to the next
stage instead of doing a flight. We will then start flying again next
weekend with the beaver.

Matt is coming over to my place on Saturday morning to work on
software. Steve, can you make it too? Anyone else?

Key things we'd like to get done:

 - improve the UI of the ground station using the new 'slipmap'
widget. This should give us a much better geographic way of
displaying data from the camera, scanner, joe detector etc.

 - finalise the checklist module that Steve has been working on. It
   looks very good so far!

 - build on the 'fake chameleon' code which currently allows playback of
past missions to also allow missions linked to the simulator, by
using satellite imagery as fake camera images. This will allow us to
fly missions at Kingaroy with a fake Joe overlaid on the satellite
images for the joe detector to find. That will allow us to work on
the ground station interface with data at the right geographic scale.

 - Matt is working on calibrating the chameleon camera using the opencv
camera calibration code. That should give us more accurate
   geo-referencing

 - improve the timing handling of the geo-referencing code, in
particular making smarter use of the usec fields in the mavlink
   stream

Jack, can you please bring the 'birthday' GPS from the Mugin on Sunday?
I noticed today that we are only getting 1 second GPS updates in the
logs on the Mugin. I may have fixed it (I found a bug in the UBlox GPS
driver), but I would like to confirm the fix by connecting it to one of
my APMs.

Cheers, Tridge
