Netscape Communications Corporation Announces Initial Public Offering Of 5,000,000 Shares Of Common Stock

Mountain View, Calif. (August 9, 1995) -- Netscape Communications Corporation announced today the initial public offering of 5,000,000 shares of its Common Stock at a price of $28 per share. Of such shares, 4,250,000 shares were offered in the United States and Canada and 750,000 shares were offered internationally. Morgan Stanley & Co. Incorporated acted as lead manager and Hambrecht & Quist LLC acted as co-manager of the underwriting group. The Company has granted the underwriters an option to purchase up to 750,000 additional shares from the Company to cover over-allotments, if any. The Company's common stock is traded on the NASDAQ National Market under the symbol "NSCP".
