Yahoo!(TM) Fuels Corporate Growth with Second Round of Financing

New Partners Include Reuters New Media, SOFTBANK, Ziff-Davis Publishing Company, The Capital Group Companies and Open Text Corporation

Mountain View, Calif. -- November 28, 1995 -- Yahoo's position as the leading guide to Internet discovery was further strengthened today as the company announced a new round of funding from some of the world's leading publishing, software distribution, venture capital and technology companies. Yahoo!'s new strategic partnerships will solidify the company's commitment to expanding its products and services both domestically and internationally. Reuters New Media, SOFTBANK, Ziff-Davis Publishing Company, The Capital Group Companies and Open Text Corporation have each taken an investment position in Yahoo!

The new round of financing represents approximately a 12% share of the company. Since incorporating in April 1995, Yahoo! has seen their readership quadruple from 200,000 people a day to over 800,000. Yahoo! has also seen a rise in its international popularity, as 30% of its readers now come from outside the United States.
