@Home Network Names Ken Goldman, Chief Financial Officer

Mountain View, California -- July 25, 1996 -- The At Home Corporation (@Home) announced today the appointment of Ken Goldman, to the position of senior vice president and chief financial officer (CFO), effective August 1, 1996.

In his capacity as CFO, Goldman will serve as controller and oversee human resources, finance, treasury, investor relations, tax, information systems and corporate development functions at the company. He will report to @Home chief executive officer (CEO), Will Hearst.

Goldman, 47, comes to @Home from Sybase, Inc., where he was the senior vice president and CFO. In that capacity, he was responsible for a 350-person organization including financial planning, controllership, treasury, legal, operations, information technology and quality assurance.

Prior to joining Sybase, Goldman was vice president of finance and administration and CFO at Cypress Semiconductor. Prior to Cypress, he was vice president and CFO of VLSI Technology, where he successfully completed an IPO and raised approximately $300 million for the company.

Goldman received a bachelors of science in electrical engineering from Cornell University and an M.B.A. from Harvard University. He is a member and former president of the Santa Clara County chapter of the financial executive institute (FEI). In addition, he is also a member of the national organization of leading chief financial officers.

Based in Mountain View, CA, the At Home Corporation was formed in 1995. Investors in the company include Tele-Communications Inc. (TCI), Comcast Corporation, Cox Communications, and Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers. The company distributes high-speed interactive services to residences, businesses and schools using the cable industry's hybrid-fiber coaxial distribution architecture.
