Grooveshark and VIPs

13 months ago, we first released Grooveshark VIP [ http://vip.grooveshark.com/ ]. The earliest adopters got access to the new version of Grooveshark being worked on at the time [ http://chaoticsignal.com/2009/08/26/grooveshark-2-preview ], which is the Grooveshark we all know and love today.

Since then, VIPs have continued to get features before they’re available for everyone else. From mobile apps [ http://mobile.grooveshark.com/ ] to Last.fm scrobbling [ http://blog.grooveshark.com/post/907989934/oh-hey-a-video-about-how-vips-can-turn-on ], Grooveshark Desktop to tons of cool themes, VIPs have helped us test and build the biggest projects we’ve worked on over the last year.

We are massively thankful for all of your love and help—from building out new features in Grooveshark, to our mobile apps finally ready to come out of the beta Sneak Peak and into fully-fledged awesome later this year.

In order to keep our doors open, continue feeding Pickles [ http://twitter.com/pickles_panda ], and compensating all of our artist [ http://artists.grooveshark.com/ ] and label partners for their great tunes, the price of VIP is set to increase on December 1. We don’t know exactly what the change in cost will be—yet—but we wanted to let you know first.

Here’s the kicker: if you’re a VIP on December 1, you’ll never pay more than $3 per month for all the best Grooveshark has to offer.

Already a VIP? Won’t have to pay an extra penny. If you become a VIP between now and December 1, your $3 a month (or $30 a year) VIP subscription will never change as long as you stay with us.

Grooveshark Loves You. So go VIP [ http://vip.grooveshark.com/ ]—and as always, let us know if you have absolutely any questions on the blog [ http://blog.grooveshark.com/ ], @Twitter [ http://twitter.com/grooveshark ], or straight to the Pickles’ mouth [ http://www.facebook.com/pickles.panda ].
