Turbolinux Announces General Availability of Turbolinux Server 6 for IBM eServer z900 and S/390 at Linuxworld New York

Turbolinux partners with Linuxcare, Sytek and UTS Global to offer support and services; Turbolinux to distribute UTS Global products for mission-critical applications; CSK Network Systems in Japan deploys mainframe Turbolinux for mission-critical Web services

NEW YORK and SAN FRANCISCO, January 30, 2001—Turbolinux®, Inc., the leader in high-performance Linux for Internet infrastructure solutions, announced today at LinuxWorld New York the general availability of Turbolinux Server 6 for IBM's eServer z900 and S/390 mainframe computing platforms.

Turbolinux has also entered into agreements to provide 24/7/365 call center support, training, application enabling and onsite professional services for IBM eServer z900 and S/390 customers through partnerships with leading services and solutions organizations Linuxcare, Sytek Services, and UTS Global.

CSK Network Systems, one of Japan's top ASP, ISP and systems integration companies, already hosts a new mail, calendar and web server offering for its corporate customers on Turbolinux and an IBM mainframe in Tokyo. The company is able to host on one S/390 server a mix of mainframe, Unix and Linux applications all working together.
