Hercules for Windows 2.11 ... guess what!

Yes, you guessed correctly. I have compiled Hercules 2.11 for Windows, and it
seems to work okay (well, nobody has expected differently). Again, 4 files on my
web-site have been updated

The documentation at: http://www.bsp-gmbh.com/hercules/nude_w32.html
The binaries at: http://www.bsp-gmbh.com/hercules/hercwin211.exe
The build scripts: http://www.bsp-gmbh.com/hercules/buildhercwin211short.exe
Build script + sources: http://www.bsp-gmbh.com/hercules/buildhercwin211long.exe

That's great news. My apologies. But when I see the windoze version
announced first it makes me nervous. All I can remember was the days
of OS/2, and how most applications released the the windoze version
first, followed by the OS/2 version. And we all know what happened to
OS/2.

Trust me on this one...the Linux version of Hercules is not going to go the
way of OS/2. I was an OS/2 bigot for years, and still can't forgive IBM's
marketing incompetence. I only run Windows because I have to; I run Linux by
preference.

I know IBM makes mistakes, but I think I read in the transcripts of the court
case that IBM was told by IBM that if it continued to sell OS/2, that they
wouldn't be able to sell Win 95.

Clem

PS I am really concerned that IBM seems to becoming a service company who would
rather make money supporting Microsoft's buggy products, than making its own
high quality products.

Might suit the shareholders, but it doesn't do much to move the computing era
along much!
