z/... support - How much Left To Do?

I realise that this is being worked on and bits being released as and
when they are ready - how much more is there to do? How long before I
stand a chance of IPLing OS/390 2.10 with ARCHLVL=2 in ESAME mode?

Please don't take this the wrong way, I'm not moaning - I know how
long the books have been out and I am AMAZED at how much has been
done in so short a time - I can only assume that the secret of how to
survive with no sleep has been discovered! It's an incredible job, my
congratulations to all those involved.

BTW, Herc 2.11 gives the same 014 wait state when trying this... but
it runs for a couple of minutes after switching to ESAME mode before
I hit the problem - like I said, amazing.

There are only a handfull of instructions left, most of which
are optional in z/Architecture mode. The next release will
add a few more instructions, modifications to store status
and machine check, as well as updates to the panel interface to
enhance debugging in 64bit mode. For the moment we are
concentrating on Linux for zSeries.
Linux gets a recursive pagefault after decompressing the initrd
filesystem (ipl from tape). Looking at the manual the 014
wait state appears to be a similar problem.
I suspect that there is an instruction in error, but finding
it is the hard part. This is not nessesarily a new instruction,
as the recent past has proven.
