SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 26, 1987 -- The Intel Corporation has introduced a circuit board to allow owners of the International Business Machines Corporation's personal computers and some compatible machines to upgrade their equipment. Intel said its Inboard 386/PC, priced at $995, uses its 80386 microprocessor to increase the speed of a standard PC with an Intel 8088 microprocessor by as much as 10 times. The board adds additional memory as well, Intel said. The board will not work with PC's using Intel's 8086 chip or 80286 chip.
