The WordPerfect Co. rep was demoing some of his wares today, and
told me that they started shipping Amiga Wordperfect as of
yesterday ( 29-Jul-87 ). The Amiga version is 4.1, although the IBM
PC version is 4.2. The higher version has some features, such as
concordiances, hidden comments, and legal typography that are not
present in 4.1, but it doesn't seem like a significant loss.
Since I don't type documents that start, "Whereas the party of
the first part shall be known as the party of the first part."
:-) I won't miss the legal functions, and I don't even know what
a concordiance is.

I didn't check what the list price was, but Chambers is offering
the educator's discount price of $99 for students, faculty, and
staff here. This compares with $125 for the PC, and $59 for the
Apple IIe/IIc/IIGS ( Can you say "what the market will bear" ?
:-) )

My check will be in the mail today; my face was almost blue from
holding my breath waiting.

Does anyone with more knowledge care to comment on the real
differences between WP 4.1 and 4.2 ??
