Here's what Nagui answered when I once again requested the h+ api to be released:

Well, Jon, I would like to be able to publish an API but as I mentioned before there is no possibility for support. I mean by this that any developer will need to debug his code to create any application and you cannot use any debugger while the Hollywood Plus driver is loaded (otherwise it will not work) which will automatically mean calls for help.. This is the same reason for any Linux support. I hope I've clarified the point here.
