Y! does not tolerate the c word.

Which c word? Not a four letter one. The word is... conversion.

It seems my completely serious and balanced question "How long before Chapter 7?" which I asked two days ago has been deleted.

The posting started with "I have a serious question. Let's assume that Judge Kimball gives Novell the $20M which he already ruled SCO had converted. Let's assume this will be done tomorrow (to make the... " as can be still visible in the history of my postings:
http://search.messages.yahoo.com/search?.mbintl=finance&q=lingamaha&action=Search&r=Huiz75WdCYfD_KCA2Dc-&within=author&within=tm

The posting itself is gone:
http://messages.finance.yahoo.com/Business_&_Finance/Investments/Stocks_(A_to_Z)/Stocks_S/threadview?bn=2942&tid=461615&mid=461615

It proves several things:

1) Someone is hunting us on Y! SCOXQ.PK board reporting our anti-SCO postings (some accounts have been deleted, many thread vanished). Mine account still survives but I'm not optimistic.

2) The word "conversion" can be an important trigger point (as suggested before). But that does not make it any better. Therefore:

3) Yahoo boards are no longer a place serious discussion is possible. Troll baiting and mutual abuse-reporting warfare is all the boards are useful for, at present.

The most funny thing is that one of my other deleted postings was titled "Kudos to Y! admins" and was a misguided praise of their new watchfulness. I would retract it myself, if I could. So all I can say is "Good job, Y! admins!".

Lingamaha == TERMINATED (Was Re: Y! does not tolerate the c word.)

I wrote only yesterday

>>1) Someone is hunting us on Y! SCOXQ.PK board reporting our anti-SCO postings (some accounts have been deleted, many thread vanished). Mine account still survives but I'm not optimistic.<<

I should add now I was right. My Y! account vanished without a trace (that is together with its history which is not typical of recent Y! account deletions).

Because I have never given them any reason to terminate the account (with one possible exception, see below), I wonder why they terminated the account. Of course I was reported several times by the multiaccunt troll we usually cal "the nymtard". I know because he even once announced preemptively my termination and yesterday was very sure he would finally succeed.

Recently seeing what's going on, I was especially careful not even to come close to any TOS forbidden behavior. Therefore I'm pretty sure I think I know what happened. The only way to kill the account was to claim harassment. But not anyone could mae a successful claim. There are only two real life persons who could do it. Lingamaha (my account) for a long kept on claiming in public two things:

1) That "Biff" (formerly "backinfullforce", later almost certainly continued by "thetsarisalive" and now "theczarisalive" accounts) is no other than Darl McBride himself.

2) That the nymcluster (using a legion of nyms and often called DDT from one of the first account used) is Jeffrey Vernon Merkey of great fame on the Y! SCO board (among his greatest achievement was suing most of us as John Does number 1 to 150)

I do believe that in order to successfully "terminate" Lingamaha you had to be either Darl McBride or Jeff Merkey. Only then harassment charge could stick (even if by definition it proved Lingamaa was right).

If I had to bet some money, I would rather think it was Jeff, not Darl. I hope he has not promised to invest a brazillion dollars into Yahoo to defend it from the company he had admitted to be a loyal servant of.

What now? I think I will still post here as Lingamaha. Why not? On the Y! board, my role will be taken by my cousin from another area (although I sometimes claim he is my ancestor). You know, the one who sometimes runs around the Himalayas looking for dusky Yetis. His name means "Renewal" in an ancient language.

Which pretty much kills the Rogue Yahoo Admin Theory. Hopefully.

<< I do believe that in order to successfully "terminate" Lingamaha you had to be either Darl McBride or Jeff Merkey. >>

Well, er, no. The strongest claim you can make is that you had to be able to convince a bored. underpaid and possibly offshore Yahoo droid that you are one of the people mentioned in some posts. There are plenty of nyms around that sound like they might belong to Mr Merkey, many of them created years ago. But nym =!= real life identity. The only way anyone (including Yahoo) can establish real life identity is in a face to face meeting, with passport. Correlation with a publicly listed telephone number comes close, which is how we ID'd anmcbride. Do you believe (let alone have evidence) that Yahoo did either of those things re. the complainant prior to swatting your nym? It's not credible. From Yahoo's point of view it's too much work over too small a matter.

FWIW, I see no evidence that Yahoo ever cares who makes a complaint. The only thing we know is that your account was terminated because some Yahoo droid pressed a button. Why did the droid press the button? Boredom... power without responsibility... quotas to fill, like parking tickets... multiple complaints about your nym... repeatedly mentioning real people in your posts... Who knows?

My crunchie812 account was deleted. I opened another account as crunchinator812 which lasted another day. I opened yet another account as blindblakerag which was promptly accused of being you (or crunchie). I got a TOS warning this morning, for what I don't know (or care), so I decided to report myself for abuse:

I am reporting myself for abuse after receiving an email from you claiming that I may have violated the TOS. I have not ever violated Yahoo! TOS yet have had 2 previous accounts deleted due to systematic abuse of your abuse reporting. Since my account is doubtless about to be terminated anyway and Yahoo! has become utterly useless, please delete my account now and I will restrict my message board activities to Investor Village where many of your former members have gone.

Thank you,
Greg Hill
