	    CAE Applications Engineer    ITT - Telecom, Raleigh, NC


	Position:  CAE Applications Engineer

	Responsibilities:  Responsible for the development, testing and
	documentation of simulation models and semi-custom integrated
	circuit and component libraries.  Generation of user
	documentation, monitoring and reporting of tool usage, and
	cataloging, release and revision control of tools will be
	required.  Will perform user training.  Responsible for the
	transfer of appropriate tools to users.  Will provide daily
	support of production tools.  Work requires the ability to deal
	with technical peers on a one-to-one basis.

	Minimum requirements:  B.S. in EE or CS or related discipline.
	0-2 years in the development and support of hardware and
	software tools for scientific and/or engineering applications.
	Experience with user training, workstations, CAE tools, and/or
	simulation models and libraries is highly desirable.
	Knowledge of high level programming languages, software
	development methodologies, simulation tools, and basic
	electrical engineering principles with respect to IC's is
	required.  Knowledge of library and tool release and revision
	control techniques, user training techniques, technical
	documentation, and the IC and/or PBA design process is
	desirable.

	Facilities:  The  CAE Support Group is responsible for
	supporting the tools used by the LSI Design Center, and other
	hardware groups within ITT - Telecom's Network Systems
	Division.  The current facilities include 2 VAX-11/780's
	running VMS (shared with other users), and two dedicated Valid
	CAE workstations (three CRT's total) running 4.2BSD UNIX.  Near
	term plans include acquiring a VAX 8600, and approximately 10-15
	additional Valid workstations connected by Ethernet to support a
	new project.

	Salary:  Negotiable, depending upon type of experience.
