SCO BRINGS NETSCAPE SERVER SOFTWARE TO ITS NEXT-GENERATION OPERATING SYSTEMS

New UnixWare 7 Configurations To Include Netscape Enterprise Server,
Netscape Messaging Server and Netscape Directory Server Software

UnixWare 7 Launch, Santa Cruz, CA (March 10, 1998) - SCO (NASDAQ:SCOC) and
Netscape Communications Corporation (NASDAQ:NSCP) today announced the
Netscape Enterprise Server 3.5 software, Netscape Messaging Server 3.5
software and Netscape Directory Server 3.0 software on the UnixWare 7
platform, providing enterprise customers with highly reliable and scalable
information management, email and Internet directory services.

Netscape Servers In UnixWare 7 Configurations
Three of the five UnixWare 7 configurations unveiled by SCO today, include
Netscape server software as key components. Businesses can build powerful
and flexible Intranets with the SCO Intranet Edition. This configuration
includes Netscape Enterprise Server 3.5, a powerful Web server for managing
and sharing content on Inranets and extranets, as well as Netscape
Directory Server 3.0 for managing people and resources based on the
lightweight directory access protocol (LDAP) V.3 Internet standard and
Netscape Communicator client software. The SCO Messaging Edition provides
cost-effective and feature-rich platform for designing a flexible messaging
framework. Standard components include Netscape Messaging Server 3.5, a
powerful open standards-based electronic messaging system that combines the
full feature set of client/server messaging systems with the low
administration costs, proven scalabillity and the high performance of
modern Internet messaging, and the Netscape Directory Server 3.0.

Netscape FastTrack Server software and Netscape Navigator Gold client
software continue as standard components in the SCO base operating systems
and in all UnixWare 7 server configurations.

"We've had tremendous customer success by integrating Netscape servers into
our base operating system offerings for two years now," said Ron Rasmussen,
SCO's vice president of Volume Systems Group. "The UnixWare 7 product
family takes our integration efforts a step further by allowing customers
to select the specific configuration for their computing needs. It's no
longer 'one size fits all'. SCO and Netscape server solutions offer the
best combination of value and technology in the industry. We look forward
to continue our development with Netscape and providing our customers with
the latest Internet-based solutions."

John Paul, senior vice president and general manager of the server product
division at Netscape, said, "The combination of Netscape's server software
with SCO's new UnixWare 7 operating system provides customers with a robust
solution for information management, email and Internet directory services."
