Hi everybody,

I try to make a diagram representing the unix history.
It is a PostScript document of 8 pages. It shows all
major unix versions and dates. I need some help to
complete it with accurate informations.

I have no web page to post it, but I can send the
document to everyone who ask me. And thanx for all
who want to read it.

I must have missed the previous thread.

Here's another (minor) system - the Acorn
port of BSD 4.2/4.3 to its ARM chip - not very
successful, however.

"RISC iX" (capitalisation seems to vary)

I worked on a "UNIX kernel validation suite" for
it, Mar-Oct 1998, originally on Suns, then moving to RISC iX,
when it became available.

See also an ongoing project to draw the UNIX family tree at:

Note: the diagram changes as new info is added. At present, daily.

Sympa (je l'ai affiché au mur chez moi) mais il y a des erreurs:
OpenBSD est issu d'un split de NetBSD. Il ne descends pas directement de
4.4BSD sans passer par NetBSD comme c'est ecrit sur le diagramme.
