The SCO Group Name Change Approved by Shareholders

LINDON, Utah, May 20, 2003 -- The SCO® Group (SCO) (Nasdaq: SCOX), the owner of the UNIX® operating system, today announced that its proposal to change its name to The SCO Group, Inc. was approved by the Company's shareholders at the meeting held Friday May 16, 2003. The name change will be reflected on Nasdaq as of the start of trading on Wednesday May 21, 2003.

The SCO Group was formerly known as Caldera International, Inc. The company announced the proposed name change from Caldera International to The SCO Group in August 2002.
