[Canberrauav] Weekend recap Stephen Dade stephen_dade at hotmail.com Mon Jul 23 00:03:20 EST 2012 The highlights of this weekend included: -We got over 60 minutes of flying time on Saturday, on a single fuel tank! Jack's addition of a header tank seems to have fixed the "45 minutes" problem, even if we don't conclusively know what the issue was. -The main wheel strut is showing major signs of wear and tear. It will need to be replaced in the near future. -The erratic airspeed sensor issue was fixed by removing a kink in the air tube to the sensor -The new USB cable for the Pandaboard/Camera is not working. Most likely due to it not supplying enough power to the camera (too much resistance in the cable). Jack will look at this during the week. -The camera needs to auto-reboot in flight if the USB connection crashes (since we don't always notice this on the ground). Tridge will look at implementing this. -Sunday's flying was cut short by the o-ring on the header tank dissolving into the fuel. This was discovered when the engine stopped ~2 min into flight. There are now bits of rubber all through the engine which need to be cleaned out. Jack will do this during the week. -D3 is due on the 15th August. I will start collating videos and photos for this (Matt and Michael - can I grab your videos?). We will tentatively hold a D3 report writing session the week beforehand (7-10 August). Thanks Stephen
