Chevrolet Lowers Price of S-10 Electric Pickups

Warren, Michigan - April 23, 1998 - Chevrolet Motor Division today reduced the Manufacturers Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of the S-10 Electric Pickup to $32,995 (including destination charges). The new price applies to deliveries made on or after January 2, 1998 and all unsold units in company and dealer stock.

In addition to the revised MSRP, effective through September 30, 1998, Chevrolet is offering a nationwide incentive of $4,500. This incentive applies to both purchases and leases, and will result in reduced payments for lease customers.

The S-10 Electric Pickup price includes standard air conditioning and the battery thermal management system, which are extra cost options on some competitive entries.

ěThese actions are being taken to make the S-10 Electric Pickup more attractive to prospective customers, and demonstrate GMís continuing commitment to enlarging the market for clean running, alternative fuel vehicles,î said Dave Spence, director of commercial brands for Chevrolet.

The Chevrolet S-10 Electric Pickup, the first OEM electric truck to market, has been available nationwide to commercial and fleet buyers through select Chevrolet dealers since the spring of 1997. Since its launch, Chevrolet has delivered more than 360 S-10 Electric Pickups to private, public and government fleets.
