02-7-1 | Public Meeting to Consider a Health Update The staff will present the Board with the results of a recent study which replicates previous results from the Children's Health Study demonstrating the effect of long term exposure to particulate air pollution to reduce lung function growth in children. |
02-7-2 | Public Meeting to Update the Board on an ARB Air Monitoring Study in
San Diego (Barrio Logan) The staff will provide the Board with an overview of the results of the air monitoring for hexavalent chromium that was conducted in the Barrio Logan neighborhood of San Diego earlier this year. |
02-7-3 | Public Meeting to Update the Board on Assembly Bill 1493 The staff will provide an update to the Board on staff's plans for implementation of Assembly Bill 1493 which requires ARB to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from new vehicles. |
02-7-4 | Public Meeting to Update the Board on the 2002 Smog Season The staff will provide the Board with an update on California's 2002 Smog Season and how it compares with previous years. |

U.S. Court of Appeals No. 02-16395; and Daimler Chrysler, General Motors and Isuzu
Motors et al. v. California Air Resources Board and Michael Kenny, Fresno County
Superior Court No. 02 CE CG00039. The Board will hold a closed session as authorized
by Government Code section 11126(e) to confer with, or receive advice from, its
legal counsel regarding this litigation.
OPEN SESSION TO PROVIDE AN OPPORTUNITY FOR MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC TO ADDRESS THE
BOARD ON SUBJECT MATTERS WITHIN THE JURISDICTION OF THE BOARD
Although no
formal Board action may be taken, the Board is allowing an opportunity to interested
members of the public to address the Board on items of interest that are within
the Board's jurisdiction, but that do not specifically appear on the agenda. Each
person will be allowed a maximum of five minutes to ensure that everyone has a chance
to speak.

AT 8:30 A.M ON SEPTEMBER 27.
