Does anyone have a Mac to give to the axe?

Here's an idea: Circulate an internal petition protesting the suit. Only Apple Employees can sign. Arrange a meeting with your company's executive committee. Present it to them. Tell them how many of the employees are unhappy. Tell them why Apple should drop the suit. Tell them to drop the suit. Needn't publicize it outside, though you can let your friends know that you took a stand! And, if Apple is as wonderful a company as it's made out to be, you'll be respected, not harrassed, for your position. Non-Apple Employees: Make sure your friends who work for Apple get a copy of this! thanx -len

There is a plan to file an amicus brief in the Apple case. Andy Hertzfeld, one of the principal developers of the Macintosh software, is probably going to sponsor it. Once the League for Programming Freedom is organized, it may also file briefs in this case and others. The more members the League has, the more weight the brief may carry. I'll send membership information once it is worked out.
