Overview

MedAbiliti has a unique approach to professional software engineering, a process we call 3D. 3D stands for Design, Develop, and Deploy, and it organizes the product development process into those three distinct phases. 3D applies a structured process to ensure successful software products that solve business problems.

The 3D methodology is the result of MedAbiliti's extensive experience developing software applications. Frustrated with the existing documentation tools and process frameworks on the market, MedAbiliti created a flexible, efficient system that uses open standards to combine formal computer science software development lifecycle concepts with a results-oriented approach. The MedAbiliti 3D methodology produces completely documented software without relying on inefficient, proprietary tools.

The Design phase covers requirements gathering, functional specifications, and software design. This phase is usually performed by a joint team with representatives from the client and the MedAbiliti engineering team.

The Develop phase is where the actual programming and testing occurs. All changes to the initial requirements documentation are recorded. Development involves object modeling, development architecture, and software interfacing.

The Deploy phase is used to provide end-users and administrators documentation and manuals to install, use, and maintain the software.
