Remember OS/2?

Microsoft and IBM have been locked in a cold war since the early 1990s. Microsoft and IBM had been developing OS/2 [ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OS2 ] together. Apparently, the two groups didn't work well together, and IBM felt back-stabbed when Microsoft started emphasizing Windows over OS/2. IBM got an antitrust settlement from Microsoft in 2005 ($775 million plus a $75 million credit for software licenses) in part because Microsoft pressured third parties to not support OS/2.

*Do* I? I loved it. Sometimes when I
stop and muse on all the wonderful software
we could have if there was no Microsoft,
it makes me sad.
