You have stumbled upon the world of Rob Malda
Rob Malda
3/16 Greetings
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you dig the new look of the
place, if so, drop me a note [ http://www.cs.hope.edu/~malda/comment.html ]. Insults/Flames/Junk
mail will be sent to /dev/null. And if this happens to be your first time around
these parts, feel free to read a fairly uninteresting collection of words about
me [ http://www.cs.hope.edu/~malda/aboutrob.html ].
6/23 Hey! I wrote a story! read it now http://www.cs.hope.edu/~malda/nerds.html. It's about UNIX and Nerds and stuff. I'm no author, but its pretty funny. Of course, I'm biased.
4/29 I wrote a raytracer for Graphics 340. I have many images available at it's offficial homepage [ http://www.cs.hope.edu/~malda/raytracer/index.html ].
3/31 Check out Rob's Amazing Hex Triplet O Matic [ http://www.cs.hope.edu/~malda/color.html ] while you're here.
Linux [ http://www.cs.hope.edu/~malda/linux/index.html ]
Around these parts
we run a real OS. None of that crappy dung from redmond- we run Linux! [ http://www.linux.org/
] I would recommend you immediately fdisk your hard drive and install it. It also
would be in your best interests to check out my Linux page [ http://www.cs.hope.edu/~malda/linux/index.html
]. It is the home of assorted cool things I've written, and links to the hottest
spots on the web. Besides- I created all the cool images on this page using Linux
software.
Hamster Havoc [ http://www.cs.hope.edu/~malda/hamster/index.html ]
During
the summer of '96, Rob Malda films brought forth its followup to the critically
acclaimed Duckpins [ http://www.cs.hope.edu/~malda/duckpins/index.html ] Computer
Animated Short. From here you can learn more than you could ever want to know about
the production, view exciting stills, and event download the darn thing.
Java Invaders [ http://www.cs.hope.edu/~malda/invaders/index.html ]
As a fun
project during Christmas of '96, I decided to get a bit in touch with the whole
Java phenom. The result was a clone of that classic game you know and love. Quite
playable, and has assorted cute aliens for you to make dead.
Art
I'm more than just a code jockey- underneath this pocket protector clad
exterior beats the heart of starving artist. More specifically I've been busy creating
various works of mediocrity that I am so ashamed of, that I've placed them here.
You can check out a collection of my favorite cartoons that I drew in high school.
They are known as Rob's World [ http://www.cs.hope.edu/~malda/rw/index.html ], and
I truly am sorry.
Duckpins [ http://www.cs.hope.edu/~malda/duckpins/index.html ]
My first, somewhat
feeble, but entertaining attempt at the world of computer animation was created
during January of 96. It was produces entirely by myself, for no budget, and man
does it ever show. Read. Learn. Download. You'll laugh. I think.
Other Cool Stuff...
3/31 Check out Rob's Amazing Hex Triplet O Matic [ http://www.cs.hope.edu/~malda/color.html ]. It allows even idiots like me to get hex codes for background colors.Copyright 1997 http://www.cs.hope.edu/~malda/
