Hello,

It looks like I'm going to have to find a winblows95 machine to
upgrade the code in my Hayes Accura 4703 external modem, and I'm not
very happy about it.

I downloaded and extracted the upgrade zip file, and it includes a
short flashldr.hex file and a long s052198b.hex file. I presume I
somehow have to get the flashldr.hex code into the modem (perhaps in
hex form), and then it will accept the s052198b.hex data (perhaps in
binary at some higher data rate). Does anyone know the exact details
of this process? For future reference, does anyone know of a modem
manufacturer that provides this vital information instead of just
giving you a !#^%$%??&!! micro$haft executable?

TIA for any info.
