The recorders will offer 20 hours of recording capacity and sell for a suggested retail price of $299. With a current $100 rebate offered by TiVo the RCA recorder could be available at a local RadioShack retailer for as low as $199. The RCA recorders with TiVo will be offered at RCA Digital Entertainment Centers at RadioShack, the "store-within-a-store" retail concept that showcases the latest in digital home entertainment products from RCA.
The state-of-the-art personal video recorders will provide current and future functionality of the TiVo Service. Functionality includes the capability to record a favorite program every time it airs with Season Pass™, and teaching your recorder viewing preferences with TiVo's unique Thumbs Up and Thumbs Down™ buttons. TiVo helps viewers find programs that match individual interests with TiVo exclusive content, programming and interactivity such as TiVo Takes, a weekly interactive video magazine and interactive previews that let the consumer record favorite programs directly from the previews for those shows.

The TiVo Service
TiVo offers customers a choice in service options, with the option to pay as you go or no monthly fees. A lifetime subscription to the TiVo service without monthly fees can be purchased with a single payment of $199. For customers who want to keep their up front costs to a minimum, TiVo is available as a monthly subscription to the service for $9.95.
