Mark H. Webbink
Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary

Mark Webbink joined Red Hat in May, 2000 as its first General Counsel. In July 2000, he was elected Corporate Secretary. Prior to joining Red Hat, Webbink was in private practice with Moore & Van Allen, PLLC where he was a member of the firm's intellectual property practice team and focused his practice on intellectual property transactions. Prior to entering the practice of law, Webbink spent 20 years in corporate finance, holding positions of Chief Financial Officer, Vice President - Finance and Corporate Controller with several Research Triangle area companies.

Webbink holds a BA from Purdue University, an MPA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a JD from North Carolina Central University. He is an active member of the American Corporate Counsel Association, Licensing Executives Society, International Trademark Association, North Carolina Electronics and Information Technologies Association, and the North Carolina Bar Association.
