I.B.M. Price Cuts

The International Business Machines Corporation said it had cut the purchase prices of its large 3083, 3081 and 3084 processing units. The discounts will range up to 14 percent for the three processors and 12 percent for most upgrades of the 3083 and 3081 units. I.B.M. said the purchase price for the smallest of the processors involved, the 3083 model Group E, had been cut to $960,000, from $1.1 million.
