I thought it might be useful to summarize what Hercules can do at
this point:

* OS/360 MFT gets as far as formatting the job queue then starts
getting strange I/O errors. I suspect this is because I'm trying to
run it from a virtual 3390, which I suppose MFT must find kinda
surprising, since they weren't invented in 1973 :-) I built a 2314
sysres but it won't IPL because it needs to have an IEHIOSUP
run on it, and you need MFT to run IEHIOSUP... :-(

If anyone fancies the task of writing a standalone or C version of
IEHIOSUP, do let me know...

Oh, and by the way, anyone joined to this list can post messages
to it, so don't be shy about posting your comments to
hercules-390@onelist.com if you feel you've got something to say
which might be of interest to other hercules testers.
