Recent postings in this and other forums indicate that some people
may be under the impression that Hercules is not "owned" by anyone
in particular.

For the record, the Hercules product is owned by me as the original
developer. Jay Maynard and Jan Jaeger have been designated
co-owners in recognition of the significant contribution they made
during the early stages of the project which helped shape the
product into the form you see today.

Numerous others have since made contributions, but the three people
mentioned are the only ones who speak as the official voice of
Hercules, and who can decide ultimately what does and does not go
into the product.

All other users and developers use the product under a license
granted to them by the product owners. This license is called the
QPL and is included in the html/herclic.html file distributed with
the product.
