Little Rock, Arkansas, February 7, 1997

Southwestern Bell will formally open a new store on Saturday, Feb. 8 to provide customers with a "one-stop" retail outlet that meets their wireless communications needs, the company announced today.

Located at 11500 Financial Centre Parkway in Little Rock, the new store will provide service and sales for Southwestern Bell’s wireless communications products and services, install mobile phones and accept payments of Southwestern Bell bills -- bringing one-stop shopping for wireless communications to Little Rock customers.

"We’re now offering our full range of wireless products and services under one roof-- literally," said Adam Vital, vice president and general manager of Southwestern Bell’s wireless operations in Arkansas. "We know our customers want not only quality and value, but also a hassle-free convenient way of doing business."

The store will offer a variety of Southwestern Bell products such as OKI, NEC, Motorola, Audiovox and Nokia wireless phones; a full line of accessories; adapters; batteries; and booster kits.

The new store -- which is open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Sundays from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. -- will be the eighth Southwestern Bell retail outlet in Arkansas.

The addition of the Little Rock store is another step by Southwestern Bell to become a premier single-source provider of telecommunications products and services in Arkansas. Customers can obtain combined local and long-distance wireless services at the Southwestern Bell store. Eventually, the store offerings will expand to include Southwestern Bell’s land-line local and long-distance services.

Southwestern Bell provides basic and leading-edge telephone services and products to more than 10 million business and residential customers in Texas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Kansas
