Odessa residents can now pick up a wireless phone and sign up for service at Odessa's busiest grocery store, the HEB at 3801 East 42nd Street. Designed to make purchasing wireless service more convenient, Southwestern Bell Wireless has partnered with HEB to announce the opening of wireless retail outlet inside the HEB in Odessa.
"Convenience is important to our customers and we're making it easy for Odessa residents to sign up for wireless service," said Lynn James, Odessa branch manager. "As the holiday season approaches, we want to help simplify our customers lives by making it as easy to get wireless service as it is to get groceries. Plus, a wireless phone and service is a great last minute gift idea."
Located right inside the main entrance of the HEB, the Southwestern Bell Wireless store will market and sell a variety of wireless products, including wireless phones, pagers and the latest in Digital Personal Cellular Service. Customers can also choose from a variety of rate plans designed to suit their needs.
"At the Odessa HEB store, we pride ourselves in offering our customers the most choice at the best price, and now that includes wireless phone services and equipment from another name they trust, Southwestern Bell," said Preston Price of HEB. "Wireless phones, like groceries and housewares, are an everyday necessity, so it only makes sense that its available right here at HEB."

To celebrate the grand opening, the Odessa Southwestern Bell store is offering free phones - the choice of the Motorola Deluxe or Pocket, free activation, a free car adapter, and free gift wrapping.
The 120-square-foot store, the first of its kind in Odessa, will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Thursday; 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 12 noon to 6 p.m. Sunday.
