"Worry-free" Nationwide Calling Plans Eliminate Roaming and Long Distance, Add Hundreds of Minutes

ATLANTA - March 4, 2002 - Cingular Wireless - the nation's second largest wireless carrier - is again bringing simplicity and added value to wireless customers by boldly increasing the number of package minutes to its national rate plans and eliminating roaming and long distance charges in the United States.

With the new Cingular Nation rate plans, customers:
· Never have to worry about roaming
· Never have to worry about long distance
· Never have to worry about rate area maps
· Have hundreds of additional package minutes, and
· Have 3,500 national nights and weekend minutes for added flexibility.

The new Cingular Nation rate plans are the simplest and most compelling pricing solutions in the industry. Standard pricing for Cingular Nation plans across all geographic markets will begin during the first week of March. For example, the $39.99 national plan includes 350 package minutes (an increase of 100 percent), 3,500 Nights and Weekend package bonus minutes, long distance and roaming. Customers can use these minutes anywhere in the United States - they do not have to be used exclusively on Cingular networks.
