I downloaded the beta this past weekend (good timing, too; they just removed it!), and had similar problems. Apparently, the Trident 800x600x256 32-bit drivers won't work with 2.1 beta (December). I threw some old Trident 800x600x16 drivers up, and it works now (but it's a lot slower than 2.0 was; probably because it's a beta?). If anyone has the Trident 800x600x256 32-bit drivers working, let me know! Good beta: it has about 2 MB more free mem when I boot (but the program only reports largest contiguous free mem block, so it could just be putting some discontiguous mem together; whatever, it >looks< better :-) ). Also, (my reason for getting it this past weekend): the new tax software I bought will run (it wouldn't under 2.0 as it required Win 3.1). -- Kenneth L. And last night I tried putting MMPM/2 beta on, and it went through the whole install and at the >last< point, trapped (000d again). I tried again, it trapped again.
