During ongoing quality control checks, a minor installation problem was discovered and fixed during the manufacturing process, before volume shipments of the product began. This minor fix caused minimal interruption to the manufacturing process and OS/2 Warp will be initially available next week as planned, with wide availability by November 4. IBM is confident that customers will be delighted with the overall quality, performance and impressive new features in the new release of OS/2, IBM's award-winning 32-bit operating system.
