CONCORD, Calif. — February 19, 1993 — Allegedly counterfeit computer software worth up to $1 million was seized when investigators raided a graphics company they suspect is part of a pirating ring.
Jacob Tran, 38, owner of J.T. Litho, was arrested during yesterday's raid on suspicion of possession, sale and distribution of counterfeit merchandise, said police Det. Mike Finney.
The operation was uncovered by investigators for Microsoft Corp., who got an anonymous tip Feb. 12 and asked Concord police for help, said police spokesman Joe Kreins.
