Date: Wed, 21 Mar 90 16:57:51 -0500 From: John T Kohl < jtkohl@ATHENA.MIT.EDU> To: krbdev@ATHENA.MIT.EDU Present: John Kohl, Jon Rochlis, Ted Ts'o, Ed Guzovsky status reports: Jon hasn't been doing much v5 work (he has been busy with v4 on the Macintosh) -He'd like to do some work on getting a v5 server working with a copy of the MIT v4 database -He expects to have more time to devote to Kerberos stuff in April. Ted has been dealing with undergraduate thesis hassles and doesn't know yet how much time he will have available John has been coding various routines for libkrb. -He has between 0 & 50% time to devote to Kerberos work. -He has a copy of the POSIX 1003.1-1988 spec for reference use to make sure our libos is POSIX-compliant. -When the ANSI C standard is available, he will get a copy for reference. Ed has been reading documents & getting up to speed. -He is currently working on mk_priv & rd_priv. -He has about 67% of his time to devote to Kerberos work. other random stuff: Jon suggested we consider providing some KDC load-balancing, proper & easy key version support, and perhaps some password quality checking. Dan Bernstein from NYU has finished a first cut of the replay-cache code; we (MIT people) will need to evaluate it & do some conversion (its functions are only ANSI compilable, but shouldn't take much work to fix).
