(NASDAQ:SCOC) today announced a strategic partnership agreement with IBM to deliver Business Critical Server solutions. Under the new worldwide agreement, IBM will distribute SCO Open Server software products on their recently announced IBM PC Server line, which includes high- end symmetric multiprocessing (SMP) hardware. The agreement enables SCO to gain increased leverage through IBM's worldwide presence in Fortune 2000 corporations. The partnership expands a successful four-year relationship in delivering Intel-based servers worldwide to organizations of all types and sizes. During this period, the two companies have worked together to assure compatibility between SCO software and IBM Intel processor- based server hardware. The new relationship will see the companies build joint strategic sales and marketing plans.
