			     DoubleTree Hotel
			       Monterey, CA

USENIX is sponsoring a limited-enrollment workshop on current and future
developments in interactive computer graphics under UNIX, including the
following speakers and topics:

Tom Duff of Bell Labs "Tools for 3D Rendering"

Roy Hall of Robert Abel Associates
"The Architecture of Software Systems for Image Synthesis and Animation"

   Lou Katz of UC Berkeley
"Graphics under Cromix in a Tiny Machine: The Domino Theory"

Peter Langston of Bell Communications Research

Steven McGeady of Ann Arbor Terminals
"Window Management is An Operating System Issue. An Architecture for
	     A Distributed Windowing Graphics Device"

Rob Pike of Bell Labs "Why Unix can't do interactive graphics"

   David Salesin of Lucasfilm

Spencer Thomas of U. of Utah "The Alpha_1 CAD System"

   Michael Wahrman of Symbolics

Turner Whitted of the U. of N. Carolina

The workshop will be structured to facilitate in-depth discussions of
technical issues, and will have presentations in a number of formats, with
ample time for questions and responses. There will be a computer graphics
film and video presentation at a banquet.

In order to cover the extra expenses entailed in providing high
qualiity visual presentations, the registration fee will be $200, which
will include a reception and proceedings (both printed and on video tape).
The hotel rate for this conference is a special $65/night for either single
or double occupancy.

The intent of this workshop is to give participants an opportunity to
have high-quality technical exchanges with other active and knowledgable
workers in the field. Thus, to ensure active participation by ALL
attendees, applicants must submit a brief statement of qualifications and
areas of graphics expertise. For further details and application
information, contact the Program Chair:
